Oh gosh oh gosh.
I recently just found your blog and followed it because of all the What Pumpkin drama, and I’ve been meaning to send you a message about how impressed I’ve been with how you’ve been handling all of the super entitled upset Homestuck fans! You’ve been really level-headed, calm, and polite in the face of incredibly rude and inconsiderate “fans” who don’t understand basic manners, and it’s really admirable!
And you like my work and have bought some of my stuff, oh gosh, I’m full of e-blushes. I feel like I should be obligated to say some sort of “oh wow I feel so old” to hear that you’ve been following my art since you were in middle-school, but instead it feels really neat to know people have stuck with me for so long. So thank you, this post has really made my day! : )

ahhh yeah I’m a Borogove backer too… i like your work, what can i say!
and thanks, yeah, it can be extremely frustrating but i kind of feel like if i can expose more people to the ideas of artist’s rights and intellectual property as a real thing, it might help someone, somewhere? i’ve found a lot of interesting critiques of copyright law and i definitely agree that there are ways that it doesn’t seem to be in the best interests of artists, but artist’s rights are really important to me, not only because i know a ton of artists but because i used to be really serious about writing/literature.
but DANG, good on you for not being so turned off by this stuff. i keep expecting to lose followers just because of the sheer amount of gross negativity and childishness i have to reblog to respond to, but i guess people don’t get as grossed out by it as i’d thought??
